As Executive Vice President of Aztec Group, Inc., Charles Penan brings over $2.5 billion of closed transaction experience that includes acquisition, disposition, development, bridge, equity, mezzanine, joint venture and traditional debt placement for all types of commercial real estate nationwide.
Mr. Penan’s notable closed transactions include: the $105 million bridge loan for the Turnberry Isle Resort, $85 million debt and equity placement for Marina Grande fractured condominium, $55 million construction loan for the Gale boutique hotel and condominium, $52 million sale and $35 million debt financing of One Turnberry, and $35 million loan for the Kennelly Land Portfolio.
Prior to joining Aztec Group, Mr. Penan spent five years at Cohen Financial working with one of the firm’s top capital market teams. Prior to that, Mr. Penan was an Associate with Northmarq Capital formerly Legg Mason Real Estate Services in Boca Raton, Florida.
Mr. Penan graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Mr. Penan is a Licensed Mortgage Originator and Real Estate Salesperson in the State of Florida. Mr. Penan has been a resident of South Florida for over 20 years, and is an active Board member of AIPAC and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.
