Jason Shapiro
As Managing Director of Aztec Group, Inc., Jason Shapiro focuses on arranging commercial mortgage financing for all property types.
Prior to joining Aztec, Shapiro spent seven years as Vice President of Thomas D. Wood & Company Mortgage Bankers in Coral Gables, Florida. Shapiro was responsible for the origination and placement of long-term, income property loans for domestic life insurance companies. In addition, Shapiro's responsibilities included the development and maintenance of client-investor relationships. During his tenure at Thomas D. Wood & Company, Shapiro closed over 100 commercial real estate financing transactions. In 1996, Shapiro was named the top individual producer nationwide for one of the firm's correspondent life insurance companies.
Jason Shapiro graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami in 1992 and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami in 1994. A resident of Miami for 20 years, Shapiro is a patron of the arts and is currently active with the Performing Arts Center Trust of Greater Miami and the American Diabetes Association.
